Though Arlene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Arlene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Winfield Ackerson and Georgia Eugenia Ackerson (Malcolm); her husband Hugh J. Taney; and her granddaughter Amy McClanahan. She is survived by: her children, Debi Koechner (Jerry) and Gary Taney (Pamela) of Montrose, MO; and her grandchildren, Brent Taney (Rose) of Kansas City, MO, Brooke Shupe (Amos) of Springfield, MO and Cory McClanahan of Brooksville, FL. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
