He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton B. Hood and Frances Hood Lyles; his stepmother Lena Eversole Hood; and his siblings, Bobby Gene, Charles and Clayta June Hood Leach.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Wilson; his children, Jerry and Lena (Edward); his grandchildren, Shawn Hood, Christina Gainous (James), Heather Hood (Kelven Wilson) and Daniel Atkinson (Alexandra); his great grandchildren, Aaron Vest, Wyatt Kihn, Cooper, Lucas Gibbs, Amelia, Georgia, Alex Atkinson, Chance, Rosie Wilson, Deklan and Egan Wilson; his sisters-in-law, Caroline Trowbridge (Fred) and Linda Griffitt; and his nieces and nephews, Lori Chapman (Greg), Lisa Lemke (Les), Lori Griffitt, Diana Griffitt, Theresa Manuel (Mark), Doug Lamons (Cindy), Scott Emerson, Danny Lamons (Lori) and Donnie Griffitt Jr.. He is also survived by numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews and friends.
