He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Parsons and Dorothy Parsons (Wyatt); his wife Carol Barnes of Quincy, Missouri.; his sister Mary Ann Mellen; his in-laws, James and Lucille Barnes (Martin); his siblings-in-law, Shirley Oviatt, Sharon Minich, Mary Temple, Patty Frankenfield, Don Minich, Joe Brown and Wyatt Mellen; his nieces and nephews, Karen Yoss (Hughes), Dayann Brown, Donnie Hughes, Tom Glass and Gary Minich; and his great-nephew Joshua Wood.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly (Paul Slater) and Michael Parsons; his grandchildren, Johnathon Slater, Nicholas Slater and Kaitlynn Parsons; his sister JoAnn Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Jim (Judy Barnes) and John Frankenfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Clinton Samaritan Center or the Christian Women's Fellowship of Clinton Christian Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.
