With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Turner Nichols (Clinton, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 19, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Turner Nichols and Opal Eula Bunch Nichols; his siblings, Frank Nichols, James Nichols and Pauline Nichols Silver; his niece Shirley Nichols Snorgrass; his parents-in-law, Bruce and Alma Hite; his siblings-in-law, Judy Nichols, Louise Haun, JoAnn Hite, Pauline Hite, Karen Hite, Sara Hite, Lloyd Hite, Arthur Haun, Cecil Hite, George Bowman and Noble Silvers; and his nieces and nephews, James Hite, David Hite, Karla Hite and Kaylin Hite.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Marie Hite; his son Steven; his daughter-in-law Kim; his brother Dale Nichols (Gayle); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Nichols, Allen Hite (Jackie), James Hite and Elsie Bowman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Novus Hospice or Parks Chapel Cemetery, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
