She was predeceased by : her parents, John Strean and Linnie Strean; and her siblings, JD Strean, Margaret Northrop and Charlene Strean.

She is survived by : her significant other C. B. Carter; her children, Duane Carter (Sue), Elaine Millam (Chris), Allen Carter and Jennifer Grimes (Mitch); and her grandchildren, Nathan Carter (Jennifer), Janelle Jolley (Brandon), Eric Millam (Allison) and Sara Strough (Shawn).
