With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Albert Rackers of Columbia, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 16, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Rackers and Pauline Rackers (Utrecht); his in-laws, Leo and Louise Reibenspies; his siblings, Glenn J. Rackers and Wanda Lehmen; his son-in-law Ross Nichols; his grandson Joshua Nichols; and his brothers-in-law, Glenn Rackers, Tony Diemler, Roland Reibenspies, Jim Koerkenmeier and Bob Barr.
He is survived by: his wife Hedy Mary Reibenspies of Andrew's Catholic Church; his children, Jerome Rackers (Cheryl) and Nicole Nichols Marnin (Donny); his grandchildren, Emily Gass (Nick), Cory Rackers (Connor Gregston), Noah Nichols and Henry Nichols; his siblings, Mary Diemler, Betty Rackers and Ted Rackers (Vickie); and his in-laws, Dave, Jane Schnieders, Ken Lehmen, Terry, Dottie Reibenspies, Glen, Jane Stratman and Renee Barr. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Our Lady of Lourdes, whose mission is to provide compassionate, person-to-person financial assistance to the poor in Columbia.
