With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ares Gene Strong (Columbia, Missouri), born in Calhoun, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 16, 2024 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zenos Glenn and Emma Frances Strong (Leabo); his brothers, Robert Glenn Strong (Diane), Zenos Wesley Strong (Lil) and Ray Don Strong; his parents-in-law, Joseph Orville and Dora Frances Boxley (Gillespie); and his brothers-in-law, Robert Wendel Walker and Billy Boxley.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Pauline Boxley; his sons, Kevin Lynn Strong and Brian Keith Strong (Josey); his grandchildren, Isaac Ares James and Grace Emma Marin; his daughter Amber Diane Strong Helwig (Derek); his grandchildren, Ryker Josef and Hendrick Hayes; his sisters, Betty Ruth Walker, Glenna Hellyn Henry (Jerry), Emma Eileen Albin (Bill), Jane Ellen Edwards (Joe) and Joy Lea Abney (Johnny); and his sister-in-law Sheila Irene Strong (Higgins). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
