She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Dawkins and Martha Dawkins (Houston); her spouse Thomas Ward; and her daughter Debbie Ward. She is survived by : her children, Cherie Richmond of Hallsville, Raymond Ward (Carol) of High Point and Mary Beth Ward (Angie) of Harrisburg, Missouri; her siblings, John Dawkins (Betsy) of Centralia, Missouri, Marjorie Love of Liberty and Kathleen Foley of Bevier, Missouri; and her grandchildren, Chandra, Alex, Tina, Amy, Miracle, Jessica, Thomas, Jennifer, Christopher and Lisa. She is also survived by twenty-four great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials in memory of Carol may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
