With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carrol Dempsey of Columbia, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Lorene Vernita Dempsey (Haddock); his wife Linda; and his siblings, Wilmer "Jack", Claude and Doris Chick.
He is survived by: his children, Lorrie Knoepflein (Steve) of Montgomery City and Mark Dempsey (Kathy) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Shawn Pittman (Jay) of Folsom, Louisiana, Nicholas Knoepflein (Kayla) of Elberta, Alabama, Kale Dempsey (Samanatha) of Hallsville, Tate Dempsey (Morgan) of Istanbul, Turkey and Kadee Knernschield (Elliot) of Spanish Fort, Alabama; his great grandchildren, Greyson, Ella, Coldon Pittman, Lainey Knoepflein, Kolten, Truitt Dempsey, Dietrich and Moody Dempsey; his siblings, Bill Dempsey of Vandalia, Missouri and Dianne Crump (Ronnie) of Vandalia, Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Caminiti of Apple Valley, California, Gary Conrad (Susan) and Cheryl Conrad of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
