He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Linwood and Freda Juanita Crawford Carrier; and his granddaughters, Chelsea Carrier, Lindsay Carrier and Tiffany Carrier.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Sherman (Jerry) of Independence, Paula Carrier of Kewaunee, Wisconsin, Michael Carrier (Sue) of Newtown, Jeff Carrier (Beth) of Elizabethtown, Rodney Carrier (Cheryl) of Columbia and Kevin Carrier of New Bloomfield, Missouri; his sisters, Sheralyn Shockley of Clever and Leatha Hill of Ottumwa, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Edwards (Emmy) of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Annette Mattingly of Louisville, Kentucky. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Fabius Cemetery near Lancaster, Missouri in honor of his granddaughters, Chelsea and Lindsay Carrier.
