He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Stout; his parents, Rex Catlett and Delores Catlett; and his brother James "Jimmy" Catlett. He is survived by: his daughters, Brenna Catlettstout (Peter) and Delaney Timpe (Michael); his granddaughter Eloise; his brother Tom Catlett; his nephews, Peter Catlett and Andrew Catlett; and his cousin Dennis Catlett.
Due to several pre-existing conditions, Papa Cat and his family were very worried about the COVID-19 pandemic and adopted strict self-quarantine measures during 2020.
