He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Smith and Lula Smith (Robinson); and his brothers, Garland Crane and James Crane. He is survived by: his wife Jan Patschke-Smith; his daughters, Lee Wegner-Groth (David) and Tami "Boots" Patschke; his brother Richard Smith; his grandchildren, Nickolas (Aubrey), Christopher "Kit" (Shori), Lindsey (Arion), Austin (Spencer), Codi (Bailey) and Garrett (Lex); his great grandchildren, Blakely Jo, Lilly and Jack; and also, Tad and Susan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Nilson-Millard Cremation & Burial Center (5611 E St Charles Rd, Columbia, MO 65202). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and will be distributed to charities that were special to Ray.
