She was predeceased by: her husband Bart Deaton; her siblings, Winfred R. Murphy, Morris Murphy and Susie; and her grandson Lee Thornton.

She is survived by: her brother Bob Murphy; her daughters, Judy (Winston Atkisson) of Columbia, MO and Vivian (Robert Thompson) of Florence, Oregon; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Jamie Sauder), Michael Atkisson (Eva), Marcia Bushnell and Debra Thornton; her great grandchildren, Michael, Bradley, Brookston, Hudson, Heather, Nicole, Derrick, Brittany and Alyssia; and her great great grandchildren, Liam and Dean.
