Glenn Junior Wriley
May 11, 1976 – August 19, 2021
Glenn J. Wriley, 45, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at The University
of Columbia Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Glenn Junior Wriley was born on May 11, 1976 to Arnold and Lottie “Kitty” (Jenkins) Wriley. He
grew up and attended school in the Sullivan area. After his high school career Glenn moved to
the Wichita, Kansas area to work for several construction companies and fiber optic companies
including Diamond Engineering and Hutton Construction. He later moved back to the Sullivan,
Missouri area to make it his final home. There he also worked in some construction trades.
Glenn loved to fish and thought of himself as the “grill master” especially when barbequing.
Glenn liked to play pranks on others; he was mischievous as a child and more mischievous as
an adult, you would never know what he would be getting himself into next. He loved humor and
could make anyone laugh even when he showed off those dance moves.
Glenn accepted Christ and followed in believers baptism on August 30, 2020 and enjoyed
attending the Ridge Church in Sullivan. He is going to be deeply missed by his friends and
family.
He is survived by his mother Lottie “Kitty” Wriley of Wellington, Kansas; a daughter Megan
Wriley of Cuba, MO; a brother Terry Utt and wife Kim of Wellington Kansas; 5 sisters, Barbara
Hawks and husband Michael of Caldwell, Texas; Rebecca “Becky” Gale and husband Randall of
Wichita, Kansas; Glenda Wriley and significant other, Buddy Hydron of Livingston, IL; Gillian
“Jill” Wallace and husband Jerry of Camdenton, MO; Gail Kuhls and husband Michael of Ferrin,
IL; a special friend, Angie Craft of Cuba, MO; nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives and
friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Wriley.
Visitation was held at 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, September 2, 2021, at the Ridge Church in Sullivan,
Missouri.
Memorial Service was held 5:00 PM, September 2, 2021, at the Ridge Church in Sullivan, Missouri
with Matt Dudley officiating.
