With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Mildred Ward of Columbia, Missouri, born in Niagara Falls, New York, who passed away on October 13, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milford Merton Shuman and Mildred Eleanor Shuman (Nenno); her daughter Robin Leigh Ballew Cummons (Ward); her grandson Colt Ballew; and her siblings, Barbara E. Shuman Capen (Bill) and Duane William Shuman (Bonnie).
She is survived by: her son John Herbert Roquet Ward of Pearl River, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Logan Ballew (Rachel), Rheanan Ward Gallegos (Drew) of Groesbeck, Texas and Eric Ward (Tabatha) of Pearl River, Louisiana; her great grandchildren, Rylan, Sloan, Logan Jr. and Palmer; her siblings, Dawn Giboney (Bob) of Columbia, Missouri, Dr. Robert M. Shuman (Marcia) of Placerville and Dwight H. Shuman (Windy) of Jacksonville, Florida; and her brother-in-law Wayne Herbert Ward (Carol) of Burt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
