He is survived by: his wife Genie Baker of Columbia; his children, Cynthia Sapp (Jay Hale) of Columbia and James Sapp (Bobbie) of Joplin; his siblings, Diane Hoyes (David) of Sweet Springs, Eugene Hammonds of Kansas, Robert Hammonds of Raytown and Curtis Hammonds of Hughesville; his grandchildren, Bilderback (Devonte Nelson), Austin Sapp, Abigail Sapp and Jaxon Sapp; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Wise of Columbia and Rose Mary Dews of Columbia; and his brother Chris Hammonds. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other family members.
