He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clyde Carver and Elsie Carver; his siblings, James Carver (Elizabeth), William Carver (Betty), Clyde Carver, Jr., Daniel Carver (Joanne) of St Louis, Elsie Tullock (Ronald), Helen Rippee (William) of McCleansboro, Carol Colclasure (Neil), Glenda Colclasure (late William) and Jeanie Sumpter (Michael) of McCleansboro; his wife Shirley McCart Carver; his children, Vickie Heard Columbia (Gary), John J Carver, Jr. (Andrew Allen), Charles Carver (Sheila) of Denver Co, Dana Tatham of Belleville, Linda Carver, Michael Carver (Lynn) of Queens Creek, Dawn Carver (Cory Didion) of Placerville and Mark Carver; and his grandchildren, Garrin Heard, Timothy Carver, Lacey Carver, Cassandra Hoffman (Matt) of Summerfield, Charles E. Carver of Summerfield, Joseph McAllister of Fremont, Christine Zeller of Belleville, Carlie Carver of Citrus Heights, Kyle Carver of Citrus Height, Derick Carrico (Erica) of O'Fallon Mo, Michelle McGonigle (Ben) of Queens Creek, AZ, Ashley Plunk (Daniel) of Mesa, Michael B Carver Jr (Tasha) of Mesa Az, Callib Heard of Tacoma, Stephanie Carver of Bencia and Dylan Carver. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.

In Lieu of flowers John would like donations to go to the St Jude's Children's Hospital.
