She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Poole and Sadie "Bostick" Poole; her siblings, Rose Johnson, Cynthia Norvell, Leroy Poole Jr. and Elvis Poole; and her son Douglas "Tiger" Simmons Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Douglas Simmons; her son Darrell Simmons (Courtney); her sister Hazel Poole; and her grandchildren, Domonique Simmons, Victoria Simmons, Brianna "Breezy" Simmons and Rockland "Rocky" Simmons. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
