She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Johnson and Melinda Johnson (Cross); and her siblings, Willie Johnson, Evalena Johnson, Artwell Johnson and Maybelle Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Owen Kelly of Fulton; her daughters, Dorothy Kelly Preston (Steve) and E. Lynn Kelly; her granddaughter Lekel Lyons; her great grandchild Kane Thomas; her close friends, Ceola Hill and Kathy Windmoeller; her sister Nora Johnson; her sister-in-law Jenny Johnson; her nephew Don Lee Johnson; and her friend Erma Officer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
From the 1990's until present, Josephine continued helping in the community by volunteering for the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen, and the American Heart Association.
