She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Whitaker and Marie Whitaker (Bryson); and her daughter Christa Schilb. She is survived by: her husband Ed Smith; her daughter Cindy (Steve); her brother Joe (Ruth); and her grandchildren, Mallory, Joel, Justin, Kalie and Aaron. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and many other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel (1610 N Garth Ave, Columbia, MO 65202). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Memorial Baptist Church (1634 Paris Rd, Columbia, MO 65201). A committal service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202).
