Linda Cox wrote a sympathy message

“i was so sad to hear of Kathy's passing. We had so many good times in elementary school through high school in Pep Club, Girl Scouts, and many UMYF meetings at Lee's Summit UMC. Plus our church camp times were so much fun! I remember Kathy as a loving, caring person who took care of everyone around her, especially as a nurse and loving mom and grandmother. We were clergy spouses who shared the love of Jesus. She will be greatly missed!”

“My heart is hurting to learn of Kathy's passing. We grew up together at Westview Elementary and in Girl Scouts. I always knew we would catch up with each other at class reunions and events, and I so looked forward to our visits. I cannot make it to Columbia this weekend, but please know that all of you are in my prayers and thoughts as you remember and celebrate the wonderful life you shared with Kathy. Anne Bachman Smith”

Peggy Chitwood wrote a sympathy message

“Fred and family, I am sadden to learn of Kathy’s passing. One of my favorite memories is from high school. We were all in the Pep Club and attended the games. When Mr Sims would pick us up, there would be about five of us, and he would be driving the Barracuda. I would hop in the very back of the car and look at the night sky on the way home. I think Kathy always got a good laugh about that. If it wasn’t Pep Club it was MYF, church or Job’s Daughters. Fun times. Love to all, Peggy Chitwood”
