He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Benton and Margaret Benton; and his sisters, Shirley Cannedy, Patsy Yates and Bonnie Woods.

He is survived by: his wife Cecilia "CeCe" Acton; his children, Brett Benton (Ronda) and Tonya Myers (Paul); his grandchildren, Blair and Brooklyn; and his brother Danny Benton.

In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any diabetes organization in Larry's memory.
