She was predeceased by: her parents, John Franklin and Clara Lorene Brown (Baker); her siblings, John William Brown, Alma Fern Richardson, Zelma Pearl Williams and Linda Mae Brown; and her daughter-in-law Jeannie Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Archie Smith; her sons, Archie Smith Jr. of Columbia and William Carl Smith of Columbia; and her siblings-in-law, Lorene Smith of Lee's Summit, Frances Smith of St. Louis, Linda Washington of Columbia, Carl Smith of St. Louis and David Williams of Columbia.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Russell Chapel C.M.E. Food Pantry.
