She was predeceased by: her parents, William Earl Courtney and Mary Young Courtney; her husband Dr. James L. Ballinger; her children, James Joseph Ballinger and Sharon Leah Ayers; and her brother Bill Courtney.
She is survived by: her children-in-law, Kenneth Ayers of New London, MO and Gaye Ballinger of Kansas City, MO; and her grandchildren, Leah Flynn of New London, MO, Michelle Gibbons of Kansas, Jeff Flowerree (Stacey) of St. Charles, MO and Melanie Ballinger Apodaca of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
