He is survived by: his girlfriend Helen Enger; his son Robert Edward Casteel (Rose); his grandson Crispin Robert Casteel (Hallie); and his girlfriend's children, Cris Ralls (David), Dondie Meyer (Robert), Candy Conser (Jason), Alta Myers (Rocky) and Bud. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
