He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schnell and Sadie Schnell; his wife Roberta; his son Wilbur; and his siblings, Vera Bastain and Charles Schnell.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Russell (Edith Helms), Alice Bardole (John Schnell), Diane Gwinner (Andrew Schnell) and Ernest Schnell (David Schnell); his sister Lorraine Marcek; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Schnell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Lenoir Woods Chapel (3700 Lenoir St, Columbia, MO 65201). The military honors was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery (10071 E Mt Zion Church Rd, Hallsville, MO 65255).
