He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lively and Louise Lively of Bowling Green, Kentucky.; his former wife Joan Marie Curry of Bowling Green; his daughter Pam Ramsey; and his son-in-law Dan McLaughlin.

He is survived by: his daughter Joan; his wife Mary Kathleen Ramsey; his sister Gaye Waggener (Richard); his children, Martha McLaughlin, Gary Ramsey (Renay), Luanne Marshall (John), Ron Ramsey (Kim), Phil Lively (Shari) and Kathleen Baurichter (John); his grandchildren, Caleb, Lucas, Blake, Brandon, Rachel, Mical, Philip, Seth, Reese, Reilly, Cameron, Katherine and Josh; and his great grandchildren, Kyra, Ember and Faryn.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Friends International ministry of Memorial Baptist Church.
