He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Gillum and Mary Catherine Gillum; his in-laws, Robert and Lorena Darnel; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Gillum and Larry Darnel.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Gillum; his daughters, Callie May (Jeff) and Sara Bunch (Ernie); his grandchildren, Tabitha Gillum, Kassie Buckwalter (Chris), Shelby May (Gus) of Gunner Mauzy, CJ, Kristine Kelley (Nick), Haley Bunch, Lola Bunch and Addison Bunch; his great grandchildren, Alenna Gillum, Levi Kelley, Rowan Kelley and Leilea Buckwalter; his brothers, John Gillum and Roger Gillum (Ellen); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Darnel (Vickie) and Linda Darnel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
