He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Payne and Helen Payne of Trenton; his in-laws, Ronald and Inez Hammons of Spickard; his brother Willard Jr. Payne (Charlyne) of Trenton; and his brothers-in-law, Garland Hammons of Springfield and Dean Keith of Rolla.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hammons; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Keith of Rolla and Eva Hammons of Springfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
