He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eitel and Reva Eitel; and his son John Dale Eitel. He is survived by: his fiancée Sharon Gladbach; his sister Sandra Williams; and his cousin Richard Eitel of Greentop, MO. He is also survived by other cousins, nieces and nephews.
