He was predeceased by: his mother Violet Herndon (Davenport); and his parents-in-law, Versa James and Ted James. He is survived by: his wife Maris Herndon (James); his daughters, Marissa Gaither (Jeremy) and Karissa Greer (Morgan); his grandchildren, Tyler, Paisley, Parker Gaither, Luke, Kaleb and Isabelle Greer; his father Chester Herndon; and his siblings, Judy McClain (Don), Mark Herndon, Brent Herndon (Reba) and Melissa Fockler (Paul Fockler).
