It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Hadfield of Columbia, Missouri, who passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Chester Shires; her husband Ramon Hadfield; her sister Marilyn Lay (Ralph); and her brothers-in-law, Ralph Lay, Richard Hadfield and Roger Hadfield.

She is survived by: her mother Helen Shires (Shaver); her daughter Stephanie Short (John) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Emily and Jacob Short of Columbia; and her sisters-in-law, Connie Hadfield of Springfield, IL, Donna Hadfield of Quincy, IL and Ruth McReynolds (Barr) of Quincy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Shirley's honor may be made to Ewing Baptist Church or to the Ewing Memorial Cemetery Fund.
