He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Clayborne and Gladys Clayborne (Sallee); his siblings, Anna Clayborne, Roy Clayborne and Helen Clayborne Sheley; and his grandson Tershawn E. Kitchen.
He is survived by: his wife Lula Marie Clayborne (Minor) of Columbia; his daughters, Myra Clayborne Cason of Columbia, Twila Clayborne (Sylvester) of Columbia and Tracy Clayborne of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Tarron Cason, John Cason, Irving Cason, Trasha Clayborne and Darius Walls; and his sister Bernice Wilkerson of Aurora, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
