He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence B. Lager, and Beatrice D. Lager, Sr. (Wiederholt); and his daughter Michelle Lager. He is survived by: his children, Steve Lager (Angie) and Chris Schenkel (Steve); his grandchildren, Dominique Hamilton (Andy), Morgan Stickelman (David), James Russell (Kim), Megan Russell, Parker Schenkel, Cameron Schenkel and Bethany Schenkel; his great grandchildren, Alison, Patrick, Autumn, Jacob, Abigail, Xander, Zabriella, Aiden, Lacey, Kale, Lucas and Weston; and his siblings, Chuck Lager (Chelyn), Rose Frueh (Raymond), Berniece Stephenson (Bill) and Mary Metcalf (Bill).
A rosary will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church (333 S Davis St, Maryville, MO 64468). Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In memory of Larry, his family suggests memorials to St. Columba Cemetery.
