He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Hass; and his brother Dan Hass. He is survived by: his mother Vila Jean Hass; his wife Paula; his sisters, Connie Jean Hague of Warsaw and Roberta Sue McAllister of Sedalia; his stepson Blake Hasselbring (Kelsey); his stepgrandchildren, Hugh Robert and Lyda Mae; and his father-in-law Jesse Kunkel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Saint Paul Lutheran High School, in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
