He was predeceased by : his parents, Emil Peters and Edna Stoll Peters; and his siblings, Glenn Peters and Sandra Schroeder. He is survived by : his wife Arleen R. Kuecker; his children, Cynthia J. Stuenkel (Ron) of Concordia and Craig E. Peters (Jill Miller) of Alma; his grandchildren, Ben Stuenkel (Katelyn), Clint Stuenkel (Sarah), Luke Stuenkel (Corinna), Katey Hinz (Ben), Masey Peters (Matt Binney) and Matt Peters (Sierra Stemberger); his great grandchildren, Conrad Stuenkel and Garth Stuenkel; and his sister Marilyn Schmidt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
