He was predeceased by : his parents, Anna Elizabeth Ransdell (Bell) and Kenneth Ransdell; his siblings, Robert Ransdell and Barbara Helt; and his brothers-in-law, Leland Helt and Carl Hall.

He is survived by : his wife Alice Ransdell; his children, Larry Ransdell, Jr. (Lyn), Mitch Ransdell (Jessica) and Christina Ransdell; his siblings, Paul Ransdell (Geri), Joyce Haile (Ted) and Vicki Hall; and his sister-in-law Allene Ransdell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
