With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alec Junior Hovey of Cosby, Missouri, born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, who passed away on January 8, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (6054 Pryor Ave, St Joseph, MO 64504). A burial was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (5005 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506).
Memorials are requested to the Wounded Warrior Project, March of Dimes, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
