He is survived by: his wife Gail Dixon; his children, Jessica Yingling (John), Julie Karanja (Daniel) and David Fankhauser; his grandchildren, Kathryn, Lexie, Carlee, Ethan and Kai; his sisters, Carol Sander (Gilbert) and Jeanine Helling; and his caregivers, Dr. Kabir and Ashley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Andrew County Ministries Food Pantry, Second Harvest Food Bank, or a charity of the donor's choice.
