He is survived by: his brothers, Jon Walter Atkin and James Lee Atkin; and his children, Tambrea "Tammy" Kirkwood of Kansas City, Missouri, Gina Dalton (Atkin) of Creighton, Missouri, Michael Atkin of Garden City, Missouri and Christopher Atkin (Tina) of Creighton, Missouri.. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
