He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Black and Opal B. Black (Webb); his wife Betty L. Black; his son John T. Black; his stepsons, Charles Sanders (Jill) and Anthony Sanders; and his grandsons, Charles Sanders and Matthew Sanders.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Heather (Mike) and Kate (Justin); his great grandchildren, Daelyn, Addy and Carter; and his stepson Mark. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
A graveside service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens (1101 Missouri Ave, Crystal City, MO 63019).
