It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen R. Tatkenhorst of Cuba, Missouri, born in Hays, Kansas, who passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Tatkenhorst and R. Lorene Tatkenhorst (Marhenke); his daughter-in-law Heather Tatkenhorst; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Gibbs and Margaret Wyatt.
He is survived by: his wife Fran Tatkenhorst of Cuba; his sons, Joe Tatkenhorst of Bourbon and Noel Tatkenhorst of Cuba; his grandchildren, Joshua, Arieana, Cole and Reese Tatkenhorst; his great grandchild Cyrus Montgomery; his sisters, Jolene Gibbs of Steelville and Ann Tatkenhorst of Natoma, Kansas; his siblings-in-law, Anna Luhman of Lawrence, Betty Jo Luhman of Natoma, Jane Hrabik of Lyons, Noel Tier of Norton and Evan Tier of Great Bend, Kansas; his nephews, Jeffrey, Kevin, Jason and Karl Gibbs; and his cousins, Keith, Kenneth, Lynn Tatkenhorst, Todd, Tom Thaemert, Becky Pancost, James Thaemert, David Reese, Stephen Reese, Marjorie Transue, Ken Lindberg, Allen Lindberg, Ruth Ramert, Jeanne Welker, Lee Anne Klingenberg and Brenda Price. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and many treasured friends.
