He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Cape and Margaret E. Cape (Hinch); his wife Darlene C. Cape (Hewkin); his grandson Chris Bell; and his siblings-in-law, Lenny Hewkin (Carol), Buster Hewkin (Vera), James "Jim" Hewkin (Marilyn), Rodney Hewkin (Shirley), Donald Hewkin (June), Homer Hewkin (Leora), Colleen Woolbright, Naomi Boll (Walter), Eloise Garms (Jay) and Glen Woolbright of Manchester.
He is survived by: his sons, Alan Cape (Terri Krehbiel) of Cuba, Randy Cape of Cuba and Scott Cape (Genifer) of Cuba; his grandchildren, Jeremy King (Melissa) of Eureka, Lendsay Cape of Denver, Courtney Meyer (Jason) of Webster Groves, Casey Guzman (Nick) of Denver, Miranda Mills (William) of Edgewater, Mallory Young of Cuba and Cylas "Cy" Cape of Cuba; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Chase, Ava, Emilia, Gavin, Mirabelle, Devin, Donovan, Kaetlyn, Cole, Mason and Luciana; his brother Jerry (Lonnie Cape) of Cuba; and his friend Wanda Nivens.
