Karen, born on January 1, 1957 in Saint Louis, Missouri, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Shanahan Jr. and Lorraine Shanahan (Bereuter); and her brother James Shanahan III. She is survived by: her husband Richard Willmann; her children, Richard Willmann II (Tania) and Maureen Willmann (Kelly Murray); her grandchildren, Richard "Craig" Willmann III, Jeremy Willmann and Josephine Willmann; and her brothers, Patrick Shanahan, Kevin Shanahan, Bryan Shanahan and John Shanahan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baue Funeral Home - Cave Springs (3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301). A Mass was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (7 McMenamy Rd, St Peters, MO 63376).
