He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Tim Childers (Laura) of Dawn, Missouri and Sara Crowden (Toby) of Jackson, Missouri; his grandchildren, Brett Varner, Lauryn Varner, Grace Crowden and Britt Crowden; and his sister Carol Wittig of Tarboro.
