He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Helen Hoyt (Barnhart) and John William "Bill" Hoyt; his son Josh Bishop; his grandson Benjamin Bishop; and his father-in-law John Coleman.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Coleman; his children, Savanna Bishop of Blue Mound, Ben Bishop (Taylor) of Bourbon, Cassie Chepuri (Sumanth) of Del Mar and Jon Hoyt of Kansas City, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Carson, Macie Bishop, Pierce, Sadie, Paisley, Bennett Bishop, Eliana and Kaila Chepuri; his sister Jane Shipp (Arnold) of St. Joseph; and his mother-in-law Alice Coleman of Potosi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blue Mound Cowboy Church (24001 Hwy Z, Dawn, MO 64638). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Blue Mound Cemetery.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his contributions to the community will not be forgotten.
