He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Whitehead and Charles Whitehead; his sister Martha Thomas (Harvey "Jim", Sr.); and his nephew Harvey Thomas, Jr.. He is survived by: his niece Mary; his great-nieces, Amanda and Miranda Birch; Doug Birch of Hillsboro and Aria.
