He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Young (Stillwell); his parents, Joe Young and Eunice Young (Wear); and his brother Donald Young. He is survived by: his children, Ashley Young (Lisa), Michael "Rancher" Young (Miracle) and Jessica Young (Steve); his grandchildren, Grayson, Emma Young, Elo and Aiden Bauer; his siblings, Ernest Young and Judith Casey (Young); his in-law Glen; and his siblings' children, Kim Gilley (Randy), Simon Young (Jennifer) and Chris Casey (Linda Jo).

A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Jefferson Barracks' National Cemetery.
