He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Sloan and Inez Sloan; his former wife Wilma Jane Sloan; and his wife Mary Lou Sloan. He is survived by: his children, Sue Kingsland (Steve) of De Soto, MO and Gary Sloan (Marci) of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Stephanie Kingsland, Sarah Thompson (Brett), Kari Hanson (Eric), Amber Sloan, Leilani Sloan, Ariel McPherson and Amber McPherson; and his great grandchildren, Elliott Thompson, Lilliana Hanson and Callen Hanson.
