He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Filkins and Hulda Mae Filkins Landrum; his former wife Betty; his wife Eleanor "Cozy" Filkins; his friend Carol Caffery; his grandson Brian "Buddy"; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Filkins, Richard "Dickie" Filkins and Judy Boyer.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Garrett, Mitchel, Aaron, Zach, Lexi, Brittany, Ally and Jessica; his great grandchild Dustin; his sister Joyce Boyer; and his sister-in-law Louella Blecha (Doug). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
